"Start preparing your portfolio while you're still in your home country. It's very important to decide which program you want to pursue and choose the university as soon as possible. Don't skip a single open information day. Work very hard on your portfolio, always be in touch with teachers and students and be ready to accept criticism". Julia Tolmachova, a GoStudy graduate and a digital design student at the Zlín Faculty of Multimedia Communications
The course consists of 2 parts
1. Work with typical assignments for entrance exams
In class students will learn how to tackle the creative part of the entrance exams. Examples of assignments: realistic still-life paintings, abstract compositions with a specific theme, real life portraits, comics for a specific topic, logos, packaging design, etc.
Students can choose their own style during the course, which is one of the key criteria during admission.
2. Development of a portfolio for a specific department
Lessons include advice sessions with teachers and students from Czech art schools.
All the participants in our "Art school admission" program are advised to bring their available (original) artworks to Prague. Teachers will assess your portfolio and give you tips on which artworks should be added to it.
Czech schools require 15 to 25 artworks. Applicants are admitted to the second round of exams or rejected based on portfolio assessments.
The course duration is 4 months. All materials will be provided and are included into the price.
